TGLC #5 - Blasphemous Rumors
The month has come and practically gone. It is actually nuts that I only have 7 weeks left of school! Anyways, I'm off this week for reading week and with great timing! I spent the past two days with my sister and cousins Angela & Alessia. Went over their place around 4pm and arranged centerpieces and endlessly glued ribbon to candy parlor jars. Ordered Chinese and spent the rest of the night watching old family videos, laughing our asses off. Looking back on the way we used to look, the crazy early '90s fashion, and the craziest things we used to say just made my night. I'd love to get the tapes to upload snippets of it all. I'm laughing to myself right now just thinking about it. We're a couple of crazy kids even now at this age. Oh my gosh, I almost forgot to mention that my sister and I ended up trying the "Cinnamon Challenge". I almost made it through, holding back watering eyes, I gave into spitting it all up when it got chunky and refused going down my throat. My throat still kind of burns from the experience lol.
Went to Cora's for brunch where we were served by the sweetest man named George. He had an intersting accent so you know my sister, cousins, and I quickly took a liking towards him. Every second we had at that place we'd say George pronounced Gee·oh·rje with a lil french twist of an accent. The poor man, the place was busy as usual and understaffed, as ususal. He was the greatest and in my opinion deserves a raise and employee of the year award! (I will point out I just met this man). So we left him a nice big tip :) Take care Geeeeorje!
Got back to my cousin's place and went straight to hair and makeup.
I got to work with this pretty doll on a photoshoot for her Sweet 16. She's honestly the easiest person to photograph, just naturally photogenic in my opinion. I always tell her "Angela, I don't know why you're not a model already". She definitely has a way with the camera so, who knows.
The make up for the most part was neutral with hints of pink in her shadow, blush, and sealed it off with a bitten lip. Spent about 2 hours with hair + makeup combined (hair was not done in these photos). I'll most likely add a few pictures of the shoot after the party that takes place this weekend in case people attending the event happen to pass by my page. It was lots of fun and I haven't done any shoots or MUA in a fairly long time because of school so, I am very greatful for having this chance at 'play time' while off of school; it's great therapy for me. It also reminds me that I have not lost my touch heheh. Went over all the images with the family and did a show down for the top 2 pics, to find that no one could decid on just two let alone form a top 10 because all the images came out so good. My aunt made me laugh so hard when she said, "Damnit Eri, why do you have to be so good?!" I always feel a great sense of achievement when I get these sorts of reviews, even if it's just from a family member.
TAH TAH FO NOW ! :D
Still wondering about the random entry title? I was shown a song by the 80's group Depeche Mode... what? It's a pretty great song lol.
